Kindergarten

The students are learning everyday English survival words. Photos, pictures and visuals are being used to increase the students English vocabulary. Students communicate with gestures, actions, and a few words. The students may  experience a "silent period" as they learn much new information about language and culture.

First Grade

The students are learning about the season of Fall and forests. The students are creating  stories that relate to the season.  Students have used our new labtops to create habitats such as forest with animals that live in that environment.

Second Grade

The students are studying about culture and traditions. They have read the book "This is the Way We Do It in Japan" .The students have compared the way we live to the way people live in Japan. Students have tried to use chopsticks to eat. Students are learning about other traditions and customs in different parts of the world.

 

Third Grade Fourth Grade

The student is using many photos and pictures to become a fluent English speaker. The series "On Our Way to English" offers many opportunities to expand a students vocabulary.

The Rigby series "On Our Way to English" is being used to help students learn English vocabulary words along with a new culture.

Fifth Grade
