LZHS Main Page

Dear LZHS Students and Parents/Guardians:

With the coming school year of 2011-2012, the English Department will require all students to participate in a summer reading assignment.  As an English Department, we firmly believe that reading is the foundation of learning.  To be successful in academics and in life, it is critical to have strong reading skills.

Please check the list below for your course and complete the reading before the start of school. You can expect your teacher to assign work covering the reading the first week of school.  Please click on the links next to each course for annotation guides and assignments.

We recommend that you buy the books which are available at local bookstores and on-line.  A limited quantity of each title will be available at the local public library.

We appreciate your support as we continue our efforts in developing continuous learners with strong reading skills.
