LAKE ZURICH HS COMMISSION PROJECTS

Lake Zurich High School bands have recently begun commissioning composers to write works of music to add to the repertoire of excellent literature available for bands. Here is a list of works commissioned so far.

"DREAMLAND" To be premiered May 5

Michael Markowski just completed this new work commissioned by the consortium of schools now called "Consortium for the Advancement of Wind Band Music" led by Jim Kull at St. Charles East. "PARAGON" Premiered in 2010

Wataru Hokoyama's 8 minute piece for the Wind Ensemble. We are part of a consortium of schools contributing to the project and will be the only schools able to perform it next year. The project is led by Jim Kull, band director at St. Charles East High School.
