Please
follow these
steps for success:
1.
Use your assignment notebook.
2. Write the “Seventh Grade Heading” on all of your work in the upper right
hand corner: first and last name, date and period, teacher, and
assignment.
|
3. Keeper your binder and locker
organized. Homeroom is a good time for this.
4.
Check the weekly calendar to help you plan ahead for upcoming
tests, projects and events.
5.
Ask teachers for help if you need it.
6.
If you have been absent, check with your teacher to see what you
missed. If necessary, schedule time to make up work during homeroom or
after school.
7.
Stay informed of your grade progress. Most teachers post current
grades on e-school.

Academic
Accountability:
Absences
(School
policy):
|
- The goals of the program
are to help students to develop responsibility, complete homework on
time, and to keep students from falling behind.
- When a student does not do
an assignment, he/she will fill out an Academic Accountability form.
- The student will have the
opportunity to complete the late work for late credit the next day.
- If the student does not
complete the missing assignment, he/she will serve a detention with
the that teacher.
- During the academic
detention, the student will complete the missing assignment and
receive help from the teacher if needed.
- Students who do not attend
academic detentions will be given a behavioral detention which must be
signed by a parent and will be kept on file in the office.
- If a student is absent due to illness, he or she
has two days to make up work for every one day absent from school.
- If a student is absent due to vacation, one day
is allowed to make up work for every day out.
