I received my Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where I graduated with honors in 3 1/2 year and graduated with high honors.

I received my Masters at National Louis University in Curriculum and Instruction-Using the computer and the Internet as tools.

I continue to take courses to sharpen my skills with  computer classes, as well as other classes to enrich and enhance my teaching skills. This summer I took a class to update my reading and language arts skills for the upcoming year. I also spent a lot of time reading books suggested by my 6th grade students last year and I am enjoying their choices.

In my spare time I enjoy reading a wide variety of types of books, exercising and playing with my dogs. I am working with my dogs on agility training for fun. I also love all types of animals and love to go horseback riding but I have not been able to do much of that.

I have two daughters ages 29 and 25. My husband  was my high school sweetheart. We have two dogs that are  Portuguese Water dogs, Uno who is  3 1/2 years old, and recently passed his good citizen class, and Mac who is 2 years old, That is my immediate family. Uno  is white with a black eye and 1 big black spot on his back. Mac has a black head as well as a big black spot on his back and bottom. We also have 1 bird named Smokey who is about 27 years old.

I know that we will all have a great year and discover all sorts of different types of books and things. So make sure you have your list of good books that you have read so that we can all share.
