THIS YEAR MARKS A NEW BEGINNING FOR 7TH GRADE SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM. WE ARE BEGINNING A NEW ERA OF WORLD GEOGRAPHY. FIRST QUARTER, WE WILL BE STUDYING THE PHYSICAL AND CULTURAL GEOGRAPHY OF EUROPE AND RUSSIA; SECOND QUARTER, WE WILL BE STUDYING LATIN AMERICA, AND WE FINISH THE GEOGRAPHY PORTION WITH AFRICA. THE LAST QUARTER WILL BE THE CONSTITUTION UNIT. |

EXPECTATIONS--When the students arrive at the beginning of the school year, they are expected to follow 4 simple expectations in my class. 1. Raise your hand before speaking 2. Respect yourself and others 3. Be ready to work when bell rings 4. Cooperate so that teaching and learning can take place. |
