Species of Sharks
Great White Shark-
The great white shark is one of the most known sharks in the world. It
is greatly notorious for being a man eater shark as in the movie Jaws.
This kind of sharks can be identified by having a pointed nose. They
also have a tail that is unique because the top part bigger than the
bottom part. This species of shark is also one of the largest modern
sharks and one of the fastest. They also have a very good sense of
The tiger shark is the one of the biggest sharks in the modern world and
one of the most dangerous ones too. They have incredible eyesight and
have stripes along their body. Their dorsal fins are close to their tail
and can come in many variations of colors.
Whale Shark –
The whale shark is the biggest of all modern shark species. They pose no
threat to humans. They are also the slowest shark specie. They eat by
gliding along the water and trapping anything that gets caught in its
way while cleaning junk out of the way. They are grayish in color and
are usually alone.
Bull Shark –
Bull Sharks are the third most dangerous shark in the world. They are
very protective of their territory. They are very large and have two
dorsal fins. They are not very fast but they are very strong. They are
gray and white and can live in fresh and salt water.
The hammerhead shark is easily identified by their heads which like
their name looks like a hammer. They also have a wide field of vision
because their eyes are spread apart so much. They have an extremely
large dorsal fin with a grayish body. They can vary greatly in size as

sharks are very rare to see but are not an endangered species. They are
seen often because they live very deep in the water. They are very
unique specie of shark
because of how they look. They are
a pale gray color with a pinkish belly with a pointed nose.
Mako Shark- The
Mako shark occasionally hops out of the water for no apparent reason.
They are the quickest specie in the world swimming at speeds reaching 60
mph. They are 6 to 9 feet in length but can grow too be a thousand
pounds. They also have been known to attack humans occasionally. They
are dark blue and have long, thin teeth.
Blue Shark- The
blue shark is the second fastest shark in the world. They are also
dangerous to humans due to the strength of their jaws. They can be up to
12 feet in length and 450 pounds. They are multiple shades of blue from
light to dark blue. They are sometimes mistaken for the young of another
shark species because they are thin.
Lemon Shark- The
lemon shark has only attacked humans a few times but is still dangerous.
They have poor eyesight but they do have a magnetic sensor in their nose
and a good sense of smell. The lemon shark is colored after its name
because it is a yellow colored shark. It is also smaller specie of
The basking shark is a slow moving shark that lives close to the surface
of the water. They are the second biggest shark in the world. They
sometimes even jump out of the water to get rid of parasites. They form
groups with their own specie as big with as much as 100 members. They
can be up to 30 feet in length and 8000 pounds in weight. They also have
thin skin and small eyes and look similar to a great white shark.
