Know the
Rules...General Tips for Parents and Guardians to Help Keep Their Children
Safer
(www.missingkids.com/missingkids/servlet/ResourceServlet?LanguageCountry=en_US&PageId=889):
The National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children
offers commonsense, general safety tips to help families keep their children
safer.
We also want you to know that we have
security measures in place that were developed with the assistance and planning
of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Teachers at our school also reinforce
with students the importance of not responding to strangers and discuss actions
each child should take if approached by a stranger, including reporting it to
responsible adults.
We recommend that you discuss these issues with all of the children in your
home. It is not our intention to frighten your children, but to help them
develop skills to better protect themselves from the potential danger of
speaking to or going off with a stranger. Working together, we will
continue to provide a safe environment for all children.
