When and where do you perform?

The cheerleaders perform during half time of the boys basketball games. The games are in the west gym.  The cheerleaders perform a routine that is made up by the choreographers.  They make up a dance, a cheer, and a tumbling routine in which all of the cheerleaders perform.

Who can tryout?

6th 7th and 8th graders of Lake Zurich Middle School South can tryout for cheerleading.  However, to tryout you must have a Physical on file.

What is cheerleading?

Cheerleading is a sport! You have to practice your routines almost every day.  You can also make new friends and keep the old.  You will be involved in the school.

When is cheerleading?

Cheerleading takes place at the end of fall and the beginning of winter.

Where are practices?

Practices usually go from 2:30-4:30 from Monday-Thursday.  We usually don't have practice on Friday's but when we do we go to USGTC (United States Gymnastic Training Center) to practice  before a competition.  Practices are usually at Lake Zurich Middle School South in the East or West gym.

What is the commitment?

You have to wear your uniform every game day to school and at the games.  You have to be able to attend practices and games and always be ready to perform at your best.

What are the Fees for cheerleading?

There is no fee to tryout! However, there is an athletic fee if you make the team.
