| Tryouts | Tryouts are during one of the first few weeks of school and last for two days. Anyone in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade may tryout. About 12- 15 people typically make the team. |
| Coaches and Teams | There are two teams: A 6th/ 7th grade team coached by Mr. Brown and an 8th grade team coached by Ms. Chimino. |
| Games/ Practices | Where? Practices are held in the
West and/or East gym at LZMSS. Games take place in the West
gym at South and at other schools in the conference. When? Practices are everyday after school from 2:30 until 4:00. Games start at 4 or 5 o'clock unless told otherwise. |
| Equipment Needed | 1) Appropriate athletic clothing (shorts &
a t-shirt) 2) Basketball/ gym shoes 3) A uniform and practice uniform (provided when you make the team) |
| Qualifications | 1) A current
PHYSICAL on file 2) Passing grades 3) Some athletic ability 4) Coachable- willing to work hard at practice and games and take advice from others |
