Exciting News!

           I recently received a letter from the Illinois State Superintendent, Dr. Christopher Cook.  He congratulated Spencer Loomis School fro earning the “2009 Academic Excellence Award”.  This award is given to elementary schools that at 90% of their students “meet or exceed” state standards in both reading and math for at least three consecutive years.  We are very excited and honored to receive this award.  Only 437 other elementary schools in the state earned this recognition.  We will display the certificate that goes with this award in the school for all to see.
